Designing and building props for shows is a time-consuming and painstaking process. It is also amazingly rewarding for those who love to see things spring from their imagination into the real world. We will be building props for not only the spring show in April, but also for the ROTC Curriculum In Action drill this semester. Below is a quick list of some of the things that we will be building this semester.
Willy Wonka's Candy Boat- The first two pictures show how other designers have interpreted the candy yacht, but I am thinking along the lines of the third picture, the starring character (sorry Bogey and Kate!) from the classic film The African Queen.
A Laser Designator- Used by our military to guide missiles in for precision strikes in order to minimize civilian casualties.
